  i noticed jeremiah 18:5-10's thread that he had served on a judicial committee concerning pedophiles.

  i just got permission from a friend of mine who works at abc news to contact him with any of these experiences on pedophiles.

  those who are willing to email him and be interviewed by him over the phone for now, could you please pm me and i will give you his email address.

  The real reason allegations of child abuse among JW's are not reported

  this is my opinion, i don't have official quotes or official instructions to back this up.

  what i have is real life experience of having been an elder that was involved in investigating an allegation of child abuse, why we didn't report, why we didn't encourage the parents to report.. its simple really, the main reason elders don't report is concern that they may lose their position in the congregation.

  if you in any way "run ahead" of the society, you will be perceived as proud and arrogant and will be deleted!

  He shouldn't have been deleted because of you being in subjection but rather he should have been deleted because he wasn't taking care of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  my mom's lover would bring his handsome youngest son, to our house, and along with my dad, would study with my brother, sister and i. wed 7 pm.. next an elder's wife, who was a regular pioneer and worked part-time, who had a daughter my age, came to our house, after school wed. ruth was the head of the house and wore the pants.

  her husband was part of the 3 men who sat on all judicial committees in our congo and would tell ruth everything, which in turn ruth would tell the sister's.

  ruth was very pious but at the age of 15 gave birth to her only child, and beat on her daughter all the time, never letting her forget what "trouble" her only daughter caused her.

  A brother came to our door and hubby stopped him from saying anything more and said we were disfellowshipped. The guy took back his magazines and took off. Hubby laughed his head off saying it really does get rid of them when you tell them your df'd. Never the less we had a customer who would come into the shop and he witnessed to us and a study was started. Got baptised and now we really are df'd as of Sat morning.

  this'll probably get me disfellowshipped eventually but it's been hella fun!.

  so lately every time an opportunity arrises while speaking to other jdubs at the meetings or assemblies or even just overhearing their conversations about new light or new publications, service, anything really i drop little things that pass unoticed by most but make some stop and think for a minute.. for example, after one sunday meeting, a brother came up to me with about 5 other jdubbies to poke fun at me saying, "i thought you said you never sat at the front?!

  spoke to branch committee as well as co and they said to go and if we were treated unfairly then to call the co. don't get it.

  the co would have known about the local needs talk on apostasy and says if we were treated unfairly to call him.

  The charges are malicous lying and apostasy. They told us they are on a fact finding mission and this whole meeting is based on gossip. We asked him then why set up a jc. We have not gone out to seek anyone or to associate with anyone. We do know that one of the elders on the jc already lied to us when he said they didn't give any names in the local needs talks. He's a liar for we had gotton a phone call stateing that him and the other elder that's on our jc went to a family's home making accusations about us to them harrassing them three times. On the third try they were told not to come and they still ended up on the poor sisters doorstep with her husband not home. Spreading gossip about us from our last hall which by the way the one elder happens to work for one of the elders from our last hall.

He was not aware that we had not recieved and shepherding calls even though the elders told him we did.

  The elders want to know what or who hindered us that we were doing so well. Really? That's why the bozo's wanted to work with us and wanted to get to know us? NOT!

  Have any of you had your elders put the cart before the horse? Any suggestions for tomorrow evening?

  Anyone know the rules on JW's and Tattoo's????

  i'm an inactive fader (only fading and not da'd for the sake of my family) but i still have all of my privileges and haven't done anything (that the hounders know about) that would get me df'd.

  however, a fews years ago before i was baptized i got a few tattoos.

  i want to get some new ones and get a some of my old ones touched up.

  Your allowed tatoos for sure! We know of a family where all of them have it and when it was brought up to the co he said it was definetly a matter of concern. Next thing you know the husband is made an ms as well as him and his wife are in one of the dramas at the dc.

  The one tatoo was suppose to be a reminder of her dead sister which is honoring the dead and the other is a dragon fly which she had to pull her pants low for it's on her bum cheek. And she was proud of it
